Terms of Service

By accessing or using SPI Markets, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

SPI Markets is operated by John Scarpelli (“we,” “us,” or “our”). We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms. The effective date above shows the current version.

SPI Markets provides sneaker market information tools, including without limitation:

• The Sneaker Price Index (SPI) and related market context
• A Markets board of asks, search, compare, and deal-check tools
• Collection features (Portfolio and Wardrobe) for tracking pairs and outfits you choose to save
• Optional paid features (“Plus”) when offered

Market data may come from third-party sources (including marketplace APIs and daily snapshots). Data can be delayed, incomplete, or wrong. Features may change, pause, or end without notice.

Some features require an account. You must provide accurate information, keep credentials secure, and are responsible for activity under your account. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction (and at least 13 years old).

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the service, or create risk for SPI Markets or other users.

You agree not to:

• Scrape, harvest, bulk-download, or systematically copy market data, size ladders, the SPI, catalog pages, or APIs without our prior written permission
• Republish, resell, or redistribute SPI Markets data, index values, or feeds as a competing product or public dataset
• Reverse engineer, copy, or misuse the site’s code, design, or branding except as allowed by law
• Circumvent rate limits, authentication, paywalls, or access controls
• Upload unlawful, infringing, or abusive content (including in Collection / Wardrobe uploads)
• Interfere with the service, other users, or our infrastructure
• Impersonate SPI Markets, StockX, or any other person or brand

SPI Markets, the Sneaker Price Index (SPI), site design, logos, copy, software, and methodology descriptions are owned by John Scarpelli / SPI Markets or our licensors. All rights reserved.

You may use the public website for personal, non-commercial research in the ordinary way a browser user would. You do not receive a license to copy our source code, clone the product, or republish the SPI series or live asks.

Third-party names (including StockX) are trademarks of their owners.SPI Markets is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by StockX.

Nothing on SPI Markets is financial, investment, tax, or trading advice. Asks, premiums, Deal check scores, Portfolio marks, and the SPI are informational estimates only. Secondary sneaker markets are volatile. You are solely responsible for your buying, selling, and collecting decisions.

If you purchase Plus or other paid access, additional checkout terms from our payment processors (such as Stripe) may apply. Fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law or where we state otherwise at purchase. Founding or promotional offers may be limited and can end without notice.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT DATA WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, CURRENT, OR UNINTERRUPTED.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SPI Markets AND John Scarpelli WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, OR TRADING LOSSES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE THREE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $50.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless John Scarpelli and SPI Markets from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence require otherwise. Courts in New York County, New York may hear disputes, subject to those protections.
